On Saturday, two Atlanta women artists celebrated their acquisition of Framing By Design; a seasoned framing studio nestled in the heart of Buckhead. 

New owners Mirage Vanguard (Tiffani Hill) and Crlz (Sierra Barbary) plan to breathe new life into the forty-year-old business through programming opportunities, workshops, community-forward partnerships, all while blending their own specialties into the framing business. Vanguard is taking her place as the lead framer and Barbary will steer financial and partnerships.

“Being an experienced framer is one of my favorite ways to show people how they can do something a little different that they didn’t think of, something that challenges the art work and elevates it to something that is going to look even better in their home and add a different element,” said Mirage Vanguard, Founder & Lead Framer of Framing By Design.

“I am very excited about our new chapter, not only honoring a forty-year Atlanta legacy, but we are pouring into our creative community and Atlanta’s creative economy, in general,” said Sierra Barbary, Co-Founder & Director of Strategic Partnerships at Framing By Design. “Here, we are dedicated to making sure that artists have all the tools they need to have successful careers,” she added.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is only the tip of what’s to come for these two creative powerhouses as their unique expertise aids to the reframing of Atlanta’s creative ecosystem.
