Did We Not Get Real? Song of the Summer 2018

In 2017, we had what was seemingly a clear-cut winner for hottest song of the summer with “Bodak Yellow” by last year’s rising star, Cardi B. However, within this inning, we had a strong lineup up full of heavy hitters. Many artists got on base. We saw a few strikeouts, many were walked, and we even saw some hits. In June, we even had bases loaded, but unfortunately, I don’t know if anybody delivered a jam that I can classify as a home run. Crushing the the ball out of the park.

Movie Review: Crazy Rich Asians 3.5/5 Stars

Romantic Dramedy Promotes Positive Representation, Despite Flaws

3.5/5 stars (Above Average)

Crazy Rich Asiansis a pretty big deal.  Not only is it a mainstream film promoting positive representation of Asian culture, but it is also a funny, sweet, and sometimes thought-provoking look at the bonds of family.  Anyone expecting this to be a turn-your-brain-off yuk fest will surely be disappointed, but for people who go in with an open mind, Crazy Rich Asiansshould be a mostly satisfying experience. The Kanye Cult is Coming

CULT \ ˈkəlt – great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work (such as a film or book). 

Can you imagine a diverse population of Yeezy sporting, free thinking, fashion minimalists? A cringeworthy thought for some, a soon-to-be reality for others. Kanye’s latest social emergence, contrary to his proposed intentions, has created a small division by challenging people to think outside their comfort zones.
